Manila, Philippines - Timoteo B. Reyes was the first filipino astronaut who have landed on the surface of the moon. After graduating in University of The Philippines with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1955. He then goes to Harvard University to pursue his master's degree. Then he was hired by The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), formerly known as National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) in 1961 after the successful manned mission Vostok 1 of the soviet government, Russia. He was one of the 4 crews of Apollo 11 Mission alongside with Neil A. Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin E. Aldrin Jr.
